What it is

Linecraft is a factory-layout puzzle on a grid, and your factory keeps earning while the game is closed.

Raw materials arrive at the edge of the floor. You lay conveyor belts across it, route the materials through Cutters, Presses, Smelters and Assemblers, and deliver what comes out to a Hub to sell. The difference is your profit, and space is tight, so every tile counts.

Planks and wire become circuit boards and springs, which become radios, telescopes and greenhouses. Each tier sells for more than its parts, so the game is about building longer, cleverer lines on the same floor.

Coming soon to Google Play Linecraft is being prepared for release on Android. There is nothing to download or buy on this page yet.

Screens

  • A 12 by 12 factory floor in the Toybox look. Conveyor belts carry wood, planks, glass panes and copper wire from Arrivals on the left edge through Cutters, a Press and two Assemblers to Hubs on the right edge. Red numbers such as minus $2 float over the Arrivals and green numbers such as plus $16 over the Hubs. The balance reads $48,331.
Every material bought pops up in red over its Arrival, and every sale in green over its Hub.
  • The Recipe Book open on the Window: a Tier 2 product that sells for $16, made by an Assembler from one Glass Pane and two Planks, and used in the Greenhouse.
The Recipe Book: what makes every item, and what it goes into.
  • The Goals panel, 9 of 23 complete, listing Lumber Line at 64 of 100 planks sold, Finished Goods, Supply Chain, Every Material at 3 of 4 and Full Throttle, each with a coin reward.
Goals show what to aim for next, and pay coins when you get there.
  • The factory list, grouped by pack: Loom & Leather and Launch Pad factories with Build rows, then Extra factories named Rocket Yard, running Launch Pad, and Sail Loft, running Loom & Leather, and a row to build Extra Factory 3 of 10.
Factories grouped by pack, with extra factories you can name and point at any pack you own.
  • The Shop open on Loom & Leather, pack 1 of 7: a shelf showing a hot air balloon, an armchair and a saddle, chips for its own factory, 18 blueprints, Wool and Leather and the Loom, and a Buy button.
The Shop, where each expansion pack shows its best goods before you buy.
  • The same factory in the Foundry look: dark steel panels, a hazard-striped border around the floor and amber buttons.
The same factory in Foundry, one of the two looks in the optional Theme Pack.

In the game

  • Build the line

Place Arrivals on the edge of the floor to bring in wood, copper, cloth, plastic, glass and steel. Drag belts across the grid, and use sorters, splitters and grabbers to keep mixed lines under control.

  • Climb the tiers

Refine raw materials into Tier 1 parts, assemble those into Tier 2 components, then into Tier 3 finished goods. Each step is worth more than the last.

  • Keeps earning offline

Your factory’s income is measured while you play and paid out when you come back, for up to eight hours away.

  • Many factories, three tiers

Start with three factories, and every expansion pack brings three more. Upgrade each one through three tiers for a bigger floor (8 × 8 up to 24 × 24) and more Arrivals and Hubs, give them names, and ship parts from one to another. The optional +10 Factories adds ten more, each able to run any pack you own.

  • Goals and a Recipe Book

Milestones from your first sale to your first million pay coin rewards along the way. The Recipe Book looks up any item: what makes it and what it is used in.

  • Make it yours

The bright Toybox look, with Foundry and Blueprint in the optional Theme Pack. Hand-drawn art for every machine and product, portrait or landscape, and a battery saver that drops the frame rate when you are not touching the screen.

  • Seven expansion packs

Loom & Leather, Botanica, Sweet Factory, Brick & Mortar, Circuits & Rubber, Motor Works and Launch Pad, each more valuable than the last. Each adds materials, a machine and 17 to 19 blueprints that mix with your starter lines. The Launch Pad’s Rocket is the most valuable thing you can build.
